RailPictures.net Uploading Issues
I was trying to use RailPictures, but every time I try to upload I photo I get an error message saying my file extension was "."
I've checked caps and such and there is no reason this should be happening as I am uploading a .jpg image.

Re: RailPictures.net Uploading Issues
What's the full file name with the extension?
Re: RailPictures.net Uploading Issues
Huh that's puzzling that seems like a good file name (sometimes RP has trouble with special characters which is why I asked).
Is it just this one file or do you get this error with every file? If you haven't done so already you might want to open and save the file again in another program. Potentially it is how your software is saving the JPG.

I've tried photos straight from the camera and photos with minor editing with Gimp 2.8. Same resultGTWChris wrote: ↑Mon Jan 18, 2021 6:21 pmHuh that's puzzling that seems like a good file name (sometimes RP has trouble with special characters which is why I asked).

Are your files too big? Unless something has changed recently, they don’t like anything bigger than about 1024 pixels wide.

I resize my photos I upload using https://www.resizepixel.com. The maximum size you can have is 1600 pixels wide and 1200 pixels in height
Re: RailPictures.net Uploading Issues
For sure the upload will not if it is over 1600 pixels, but I'd think you get a different error message rather than the image extension error.
Re: RailPictures.net Uploading Issues
I had that one time. The Extension Error. It was a character in the file name. Or a space or something.
Mark it Zero.
