Yesterday, in rural Muscatine County, Iowa, near Midway Beach, a CPKC train derailed on an industrial spur. The train was apparently going down a grade when it happened.

This spur comes down from the plant on a very steep grade to the main track that runs along the Mississippi River. I know they have special instructions in the timetable with special precautions in place. Drove by there a couple of times when I lived in Iowa in the 90s.
