CSX (MI) Train Location Updates: 10/08/10

E949-06 is on the move at Hartford after looking at the first few axles of their train after DD66.2 flagged the first axle.

Q327-07 is behind them, hoping for a good readout from DD66.2 .
edit: at Riverside at 1:02 am with CSXT 8015, a one unit wonder!
Since I don't have to work tomorrow, I may just have to go out and see them.

GDLK delivered, CSX delivered and picked up yesterday at the GRE. The 24 is out of the hosue and idling in front of the yard office. The trees are turning, the sun will be shining, it;s good day for photos on the trip to Lowell and back

Heard GRE starting their switching in their yard at Ann St around 7am.
Amtrak P37108 west through Zeeland, 20 axles, sounded like Amtrak 832 leading - 7:15am.

Hearing lots of chatter from all over today, my hearing isn't understanding it all though heard some BNSF on CSX getting crossing activation failures at Cline Rd mp1.1.

Heard that earlier too. Lots of chatter coming from the RA and RB desks. Also could hear both sides of the conversation between the RN and a maintainer around Benton Harbor.

This is on the Barr Sub, near Hammond, IN I believe. Cline Ave is MP DC 1.14 and 1.118, (must be divided there, I think it is near I-94) Pine Jct is mp DC 0.0. and east of there is Curtis, mp BI 246.6. East of Willow Creek, (mpBI 236.6) is the Garrett Sub.

I had to turn off the GR scanner because it was slowing down the computer too much.

edit: sorry, I guess it did go through It didn't show up for about 8 minutes.

Q33408 CSX 8365 8787 and 31 cars should be nearing Plymouth by 13:20. D708 departed Howell westbound back to Ensel at 13:15 with 16 cars. CSX 2753. There should be a G87903 grain empty on its way to Michigan soon for west of Plymouth.

E27004 (CSXT 8369) is near Hudsonville proceeding west after getting the clear from maintainers about a semi that was stuck on the tracks at 76th st. They see where the truck's tire marks are, but the truck is long gone.
Y121 sounds to be heading west at Grandville. 3:55pm update
D80108 entering the roost block in holland northbound with d80208 pushing - 4pm.
E27004 and Y121 both on the move west around Hudsonville. Y121 going into the yard at Waverly, and sounds like they said they are working the hamilton branch...not sure if they are going to hamilton or just doing some work on that branch in Holland. 4:15pm

or maybe the BNSF Swoosh? Nice route to eastern Canadian ports for intermodal biz. The west end looks a BNSF sub sometimes anyhow.
