Re: Pennsy E's to Chicago.
Nice seeing everyone's pics of the journey back east! I caught him in Goshen after he made a brief stop at the Elkhart Depot, although I don't know what for.
I think this train could possibly be Mom's enemy #1 taking us all away from Mother's Day time! lol But mine at least understood
Good work guys..

My Mom enjoyed the afternoon at the lake.

Here are some of my pics.
Here's the train stopped at Elkhart to let a track foreman off. This was around 12:35pm.
The train rounding the curve as it heads SE toward Goshen.

Here is a video of Amtrak 067, the westbound move, arriving at Toledo Central Union Station. Not to climactic, but still a great documentation on the arrival of a classic looking train into an equally classic and historic station.

And a few photos:
And another video a short time later, this time clearing the WB signals at Swanton, Ohio at track speed:

Re: Pennsy E's to Chicago.
Jochs, your Elkhart photos are all fantastic, but this one out of them all could most accurately by the late 50s on the PRR. Aside from the CWR and modern switch machine, there are no background or detail elements that saw 2011 anywhere. No ditchlights visible. No modern cars or streetlights. Awesome.

I took a black-and-white photo of the screen...lol
