Either a NB or SB on LSRC. Sounds Like the 5921 the SD40-2 is leading

Nothing stored in Alpena...only thing in the roundhouse is the power when it's done on Saturday, taken back out on Monday....unless they forgot to mention it when I was on my cabride...
974 was beside the roundhouse for a time though, with 975 sitting along the old siding. IDK when 974 left or was cut up (sometime between Summer 2010 and summer 2011), and 975 was cut up this past summer...got a video of it....it was sad to see...I got a ride on 975 around 2006/2007 when Alpena was still the main shop

It seems I have read that LSRC will keep an engine in Gaylord over the weekend and head back south Monday. I do not know if this is a regular schedule though.

I wish I knew what the operations of LSRC on the Gaylord line was these days :?

I am wondering if the send a train north from Bay City one day and back the next once or twice a week. The G-P plant in Grayling at times requires more than one switch a day but last few times I have gone by there were not many cars there and so it may not be necessary to keep an engine in Grayling anymore to provide frequent spottings of cars.

Right, unless they've fixed either of them, both should still be OOS. 2052 is the only GP38M currently in service.

2003 was sent out for a rebuild and was in service for a few months afterwards then hasn't been used much, if at all since. 371 was okay for the first few years it was on the railroad, then they stopped using it also. Obviously LSRC doesn't think much of the 2003 and 371, or else they would have them out running.

Don't think I've ever seen 2003, but I did see 371 NB with 2 50ft CHs (not the normal train, came in around 5pm, we thought it was the daily SB, which in this case never came) in Alpena in late July/Early August of 2009.

Either a late 701 or a coal train is NB on HESR. Sounds as if LSRC has something lined up. :?

HESR coal drag must have died on the law last night. Found 5175 and another shut down at Stone Island road on the very southern edge of Bay County around 6:30 am
