Trains are much much shorter when grain is not moving

When they don't have a grain train tacked on the front yea there shorter for sure this train had about 70 cars.

LSRC 1179(?) Has train Z127-19 in tow. they are nearing Birch Run, and sounds like they have 3 or 4 units trailing. must be a large road train coming north.

What paint were the units in? I think the LSRC only has two GP38s (they are GP38Ms), so seeing two of them together would be a find :D
Their Numbers would be 371 & 2052. 371 hasn't been seen in a while :?:

That would be my guess...were the units in Gray, Red, or a Navy-Blue like paint scheme?
also, the 800, 801, and 805 (and maybe one or two of the others) are GP40-3s, not GP40M-3s. My source: the cab of 800

Ten chances to one this was a GLC train because as far as i know Middelton is only served by the GLC.

Uh, you sure on that? I looked all of those units up and they are GP40s, and if this was Middelton it would've been a GLC Grain train

M in anything isn't a technical designation if it's an after the fact rebuild job, GP40M-3 is the same thing as GP40-3 really. M years ago was a railfanning designation just like R. on an SD70M, GP60M, SD60M SD70M-2 etc. the M is a builder designation. What each road calls it's engines varies widely.

The GP38M's owned by LSRC (371, 2003 and 2052) are all rebuilt from GP35's. 2052 is the only one active currently.

I am hearing HESR Coming North probably 701. Sounds to be one of the C30's on the point.
