Ann Arbor Railroad Tracker

Unread post by iKJames »

Hey guys, just thought I'd let you know that I'm now posting updates related to the operations of the Ann Arbor Railroad on Facebook. The main focus is reporting what's going on in and around Toledo, which'd involve the yard and mainline operations.

Here's the link: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Ann-Arbo ... 0386335055

I will try to do so, I figured this'd be a big help to anyone who's wondering about the operations.. especially involving the yard in Toledo, and around the general area.

Got a report earlier, at about 2:30pm, that 1337 went back to Ottawa Yard. That's all that I know of. I also checked at about 5pm, and 7802 was sitting in the yard and nothing was going on from what I saw.

Don you should get a FB you don't have to upload a photo of yourself. There is a lot of great railroad related stuff to be seen and read on facebook. Heck don't even use your own name come up with an alias like Aart Arbor

Just posting an update: "NS GP38-2 High Hood (5136) came in to Ottawa Yard today. Backed in with 5 cars off of the Detroit Line, went out with 7 autoracks. This was between 2:30pm and 3:30pm"

I will also note 7802 was sitting in the yard with their other engines, but they pulled it out for use a short bit later during my trip. ;)

An northbound train cleared Matzinger Rd a short bit after 5pm, all 4 AA locos (except 7802) were on this short 22 car train. Cleared Temperance around 5:20pm.

If AA is sending 4 units it may be a 90 car block or 65 car block plus other cars from today's southbound from Clare.

What power was on it? Just asking, as I caught 1337 come down to the yard all by itself and then they switched some autoracks including some brand new CSX ones. NS also is going to be taking a grain train out of the yard, but they didn't leave yet as of 4pm

Sorry for not posting much for updates, it's been cold enough where it's being a challenge. 7802 was switching the plant earlier, 2368 was switching some cars in the yard and there was a NS SD40-2 sitting in there waiting to take out a load today.

Just got a report that AA is running the last train as an independent shortline right now, I believe they left the yard about 7 minutes ago.
