I didn't catch them coming north but they went south with the same LSRC power minus the CSX power and 129 loads of grain, The HESR had a loaded coal train come north also power was the 2661 and the 2668 and 130 loads.AARR wrote:Lemme guess, and five carsJustin wrote:They had CSX 5491, 8536, LSRC 1162, 1177, 1171, and 2052 for power.

Nope, they had roughly 30 to 40 cars. You will be able to count them once I get the video uploaded.AARR wrote:Lemme guess, and five carsJustin wrote:They had CSX 5491, 8536, LSRC 1162, 1177, 1171, and 2052 for power.

LSRC has a Grain train heading south, should be clear of Birch Run now. LSRC 1171-2052-1177 is the power.

Well done Justin! Especially the location around the 5:20 mark. Noticed one of those tank cars has the extended railings on top (like are often on LPG tank cars but this was a 54'). I see those often in Gaylord at the oil terminal.Justin wrote:Video from Yesterday: http://youtu.be/0ik9BJlKpu0

That view is awesome for video, and even pictures. I sense more visits to this location in the future, hopefully on a much warmer and sunny day!Evan wrote:LOL. Re: Michigan Shortline Updates May 2013
LSRC 800 and 1164 were both long-hood forward coming into Bay City this morning with the Z126 Job. They went back south with the 1174 and 1169. I would assume that the 800 and 1164 are going north on 301.

HESR 2661 is solo on an empty coal train, cleared Bay City around 1AM. WGCR 9519 and HESR 8802 just returned to Bay City about 10 min ago, they should be just about to Wenona Yard by now.

At 1200, Grand Elk was up at the north end of the Hughart Runner with what looked like 1 car for Blue Lynx. 3531 for power.
