X386, with the CN 5758 leading and 144, IC 2697 are approaching Tappan, or have reached Port Huron. They were by MP13 on the Mt. Clemens Subdivision in Warren between 2100 and 2130.

A little change of pace, instead of the usual GTW GP's, CN is using BNSF 9739 in crm/grn executive trim to do some local switching at the former Michigan Paperboard plant in Battle Creek.

As I was on my way home around 6 this morning there was an EB at Haslett, MP 229 Flint Sub, with 2 CN units, it was either a really late 116 from Friday or 148 with a mix because it had autoracks for the first 20 or so cars and then a few boxcars, tank cars, and the rest intermodal, probably 50-60 intermodal cars.
I'd think it would be very odd to have 148 haul anything other than intermodal so I'm going to say it was a very late 116 from yesterday. As in late I'm saying at least 8-15 hours.

I photographed train 529 southbound through Fraser today at 12:35 p.m. It had GTW GP38-2 #4908 (CN paint) and CN C40-8W #2172 with four "Well Car" sets! I haven't seen 529 with two engines before—especially with a higher horsepower loco !!!! Does anyone know if they set out 4908 to work Detroit?
I may check out the return 529 later!

This is the last day of my "Twenties"—tomorrow morn. (7-28) I turn the "Golden 30!!!"

After posting the above post—I went right back! Northbound 529 passed through Fraser at 5:16 p.m. Both CN C40-8W #2172 and GTW GP38-2 #4908 (CN paint) were returning with twelve loaded "Well Car" sets!

Edit: Went again back to the trax! Rain was "Hurling!" Northbound train 384 was led by two CN SD70M-2 locos! The lead engine is #8880! It had 143 cars at about 6:35 in Fraser! That's a good "Last Train" Before 30!!!!!!!!!!

At the Engine House Restaurant, I "Partied" and saw one train! Southbound 529 had CN C40-8W #2172 and two loaded "Well Cars!" What a good short quick one! It passed about 1:40 p.m. Free "Jello Shots" (anytime a train passes) were had by all except me (no Alco (locos only) for me)!!!! I did ride the 4 p.m. MTM excursion train with some friends! I saw that one earlier—my first train of 30!!!!

Here's my first post being Thirty (if anyone cares)! The "Golden 30" was a success!!!! (This is post number 30—COOL!)

I saw 529 northbound through Fraser at 7:20 p.m. It had CN C40-8W #2172 and 14 "Well Car" sets! Later, 384 came at 8:21 p.m. It had CN ES44DC #2234, IC C40-8W #2461 and CN #5685 with 163 cars! Those blue IC units don't show up often!

At 11am a southbound assembly plant job was heading south on Dearborn Sub. 86' box cars upfront (12ish) and mty frame flats on back (6ish). Missed the power.
