NS M6E cleared Elkhart around 5:30pm.
NS 8142 and NS 1066 (NYC Heritage) for power.

NS 5268 (GP38-2) has been joined by NS 5076 (GP38-2 w/high short hood) doing duty around Battle Creek from Hinman Yard. Looks there may be some flats of MOW equipment back in the yard as well.

At 11:05 EST, as we were taking off on DAL713, I saw the EB road railer hitting the diamond at Romulus. About an hour before that, one of the EB CP Intermodals went past DTW.

An eastbound CP tank car train was going through Chesterton, IN at 2:47pm. Two CP engines leading.

What appears to be another eastbound CP tank car train just went through Chesterton a minute ago. It had a CSX engine(with the box car logo) and a CP engine leading, with a buffer car, about 97 tank cars, and another buffer car.

Thanks goes out to the Norfolk Southern for sending me a welcome back gift...we're pacing a Westbound autorack on the Wabash right now from I-94. Went under them coming out of DTW, and just now passed the single leader at the CP to the east of the diamond at Romulous. Should be pounding over the CSX Saginaw Sub in about 30 seconds.

Kiss the reroutes, extras and heritage stuff goodbye, I'm back!
