There was also in Kalkaska on the run around by Kalkaska Feed a covered hopper with a covered hopper--type truck transloading something (L&M Trucking). And just north of there 1/2 mile there were 4 black tank cars on a siding transloading something.

Heads up Osmer railfans GLC headed your way 50 cars south including 9 loads of L.P. Gas from Kalkaska and about a dozen sand loads witch include 4 loads in the MKT two bay sand cars. And also didn't count he had empty tie gons to. Power is the 392 and the 393. Saw this in Durand.

Something is happening at Gearhart Yard. I'm here now and 3829 and 4017 are lashed up with a sizable train waiting however they're just sitting there and the wiki says that the only Sunday train goes on duty at 2200. Anyone have any info on this train?

GRE received what appears to be a double cut of Kings from CSX last night. Crew going on duty. Leonard Tower, if he's marked up today, might have to log a doubling move today.

Not sure if they will or not...if King is already full.

Say them last night...was surprised how much power the engineer was giving it around the Sunnyside wye...and then here comes 21 wheaties! That was in addition to the usual gons, box and tank.

They only took the yard cut...looks to be all wheat, so I imagine they'll be dropping in Ada and heading back to GR...

The GLC departed Osmer tonight at 830pm. 398 and 397 led a train of about 40 cars, an assortment of sand, grain, tank, and what looked to be a couple rotary dump hopper cars full of either coal or coke? I would assume they would be coke because of the plant in Cadillac, but they sure looked like coal to me. Does SRI receive coal by rail? Anyone have any insight?

The second cut of Kings was pulled off the interchange yesterday and put in the yard. I'm guessing they will take the loads and pull the empties in Lowell on Friday. Trackworks working on the new transload north of the diamond at 7 this morning.

GRE ended up taking 11 cars yesterday to Kings-all covered hoppers- -attached is shot of the entire train (light was not on my side)

Once they came back (Light), they moved the other cut by the engine house, left the CH for Amway? on the interchange track, and then parked it for the day. Thought that they were going to make a second run with the Amway and the additional cars for King but no such luck. All told, they crossed the river eastbound around 830, were back about 1045, and parked by 1115 yesterday. Many thanks to MQT3001 for the help chasing and to this board in general for all the info. I made the drive from the east side yesterday in hopes of catching them.
