Grand Elk 501 is tied down at CP Park right now. 4009 is the leader w/ the 4017, and a sizeable train (for a local).
I was still in my sleepy haze when I looked at the clock last night but it was LATE when they came back. I know it was well after midnight. I haven't seen them have to tie down at Park for quite a while now.

2 cuts of Kings at the GRE, one last night and one the night before. Mechanic is there I am assuming waiting for the crew to switch the Kiamachi into the house for some TLC.

Why are there two yards in Cadillac? I know why historically, but why are both of them still used today?

Selma (AA) is traditionally plugged with sand cars and later coke/tie cars not leaving much room for else.

North Yard has traditionally been used to stage for everything going north. In years past there has been a lot of business north of Cadillac and things are picking up again so it is wise to keep both yards going.

Just drove past GLC's shops in Cadillac, 1 small tank, 1 centerbeam and 5 lp tanks are spotted behind the shops. Looks like they will be headed north tomorrow.

I thought of something else Chris Bagwell said at the AATT&HA meeting last year. With the increase in traffic one of GLC's challenges is capacity. Their yards are busy and in order to grow (the soybean plant near Ithaca may add significant traffic) they need to find ways to improve fluidness. Removing any track at this time will make it harder to move cars across their system.

Inbound Kings in the GRE yard, not sure if the ones on the interchange are inbound or outbound. Mechanic is at the house. Will the Kiamichi come alive today?
