Ran north yesterday shortly after 0900.

Heard them leave for Clare today at 0950 and return at 1435. No opportunity to see them.

Left for Clare at 0915 while I was still in the office.

395 and 398 returned to Cadillac at 1505 with 2 coke hoppers, 11 sand hoppers, 1 plastics hopper, 1 tank car, 1 plastics hopper, 3 pole loads for Mcbain and 9 tie gons/hoppers.

Heard them return at 1430.

Looks like they ran to TC and Kalkaska today. 1 empty centerbeam and 2 lp tanks spotted behind Family Video in the North Yard this evening.

398 and 395 left for Clare at 0935 with 1 empty centerbeam and 4 lp tanks.

Returned at 1315 and sounded like they made a run to Yuma.

GLC in Cadillac today:

Left towards Clare at 0930. Caught a glimpse of empty tie cars and sand hoppers through the trees from Spruce St. Had not returned as of 1700.

Huron and Eastern headed westbound between Pigeon and Wallace at about 9:00 p.m. with 32 covered hoppers. 1721 was leading and 8802 trailing.

CSX picked up the outbound empties and left 1 tank and 2 center beams for the GRE. No crew today. 1 outbound for GDLK

Heard them on the north end around 1425. So I'm assuming they ran north before 0900.

On our way home from watching the Great Lakes Loons at Dow Diamond, we caught the Huron and Eastern headed north through Unionville at 10:42. I missed the lead unit, but I believe it was one of the black locos. 2028 was trailing and was followed by three of the former Wisconsin Central box cars and a couple of the beat up HESR boxcars that frequent the edible bean plant in Pigeon. The majority of the train was covered hoppers with about 10 tank cars and one of the Omnisource scrap hoppers for Tower in Elkton.

Tower in Elkton must be one of the last Tower plants shipping anything by rail. I'm surprised they don't truck their scrap metal to one of the local scrap yards like their other plants do.
