I got surprised by the Michigan Shore headed south at Lake Michigan drive, South of Grand Haven at 11:50. MMRR 2057 leading MMRR 2019, 2 box cars, 17 sand cars, and 11 tank cars. 30 total for Holland.
I heard them calling for their EC-1 shortly after. They should be in Holland now

Grand Elk just came south across the diamond at BO in Kzoo with 3534 and a few cars from the paper plant north of BO. Right after Amtrak 357 cleared, shoved back to Gearhart. Not sure what job this is or where they'll go next.

No covered hoppers in Lowell, except the one that has been sitting on a siding for weeks. Looks like Grand May have brought some to Ann Street this afternoon late.

After being tied down for much of the afternoon near 7Mile Rd south of Brohman, the northbound MQT road freight is coming into Baldwin at 1800 hrs with a pair of orange SD40-2s bracketing a yellow Geep in the middle and 19 cars.

no sand, the mine in Ludington is idle except for a few truck loads going to various aggregate yards. The nimbus on M116 are happy the constant convey of trucks are gone, but the work people in town are pretty sad.

Are there still, technically, two railroads in Lowell? The ex-GTW is Grand Rapids Eastern and the former C&O was Mid-Michigan. Since there is still about a mile or so of C&O remaining in Lowell to serve King Milling does Mid-Michigan still exist in Lowell or has that short section been absorbed by the GRE? Not that it would make much difference since both are owned by G&W, but I was curious what the official paperwork now says.
