A NB just rolled by MP 22.5 with 2644 and 2010 and a very short train. Not sure what train this would be at this time headed towards Pontiac. Maybe a short and early 451?

And two minutes later on Main 2 Train 950 with 6223 and seven cars rolled south.

Ok guys, I just like at 6:30 on the local news that a train hit a car at the Beard road crossing in Shaftsburg overnight, that's all I got, very sad and strange to hear.

I heard a couple of comments made while I was listening to the Durand scanner feed. I figured a train somewhere had struck someone or a vehicle, just did no know any details. Had me looking for news articles as well as posts here on this board wanting more info.

Based on the timing it sounds like 391.

An Amtrak just crawled SB past MP 22.5 on the Holly with only one locomotive. My guess is that they are back on their regular schedule starting today as this is about the time for 353 to be out of Pontiac when it is not their summer repair schedule. Don't know why so slow. Looked like it was on Main 2 instead of Main 1.

And right behind Amtrak at 11:12, going faster, was Train 515 with 4925 and 19 cars SB at MP 22.5 Holly.

According to the news stations up this way (NBC 25, ABC12 and WNEM TV 5) sounds like a 45 year old woman headed NB on Beardslee Rd. struck the WB train. The pics posted show lights and a gate all activated. Still getting further...

Train 950 with 6223 returning to Pontiac past MP 22.5 with 7 boxcars.

Update 4:19: 515 passing MP 22.5 with three tank cars returning to Pontiac.

391 good to depart northbound from Pontiac at 10:58 PM CN 2654 & CN 5656.

27 loads, 55 empty, total 82 cars.

391 crossed Airport Rd. 11:17 PM.

I caught both 514, and 116 at Airport Rd.

514 at 1:32 am 154 axels at the detector. 5936 solo.

116 at 1:54 AM. had 156 axels. I managed to not get the engine numbers on 116.

514 good to depart north from Pontiac with 25 cars at 3:31 AM

They will stop at Red Lava to set some cars off there and will work the yard at Durand on the way back to Flint.

Edit to add:

514 GTW 5936 passed the Detector MP 34.2, 4:05 AM 98 axels. Just to note the detector at MP34.2 is about a half mile passed Red Lava.
