Does it really matter what date the train is to you all?
I think they're curious on the date for these due to the rumor/news of them going to daily, so they're trying to sniff out if that is happening or not.

The date isn't hugely important to me, I just like documenting as much info as I can.
I also tried to specify the date to clear up any confusion that may arise.

Q326-08 @ 2:26pm eastward, main to siding, west end Kirk mp CG72.3 with CSXT engines #62 + 1 & 87 cars. There was conversation about him being re-crewed by D801 at either Kirk or Grand Junction mp CG53.9 & the engineer had told Dispatch he could make it to Grand Junction if they kept him rolling. There is a Ballast Regulator & Tamper working in the Kirk area, so, not sure if Q326 is looping around them or is to tie down inside Kirk. (Update: Q326 was being looped around the MoW Machines).

Q326-08 @ 3:17:28pm eastward Bangor's Division St crossing mp CG60.93 with CSXT engines #62 + #586 & 87 cars. He will be stopping at Grand Junction mp CG53.9 to await D801's crew arrival to re-crew & couple the pusher engines (CSXT #989 + #5120) to tow Q326 to Grand Rapids due to issues the CSXT #62 is having. Q326's crew time expires at 6pm.

Turns out, D801-08 is using the CSXT pusher engines (#989 + #5120) that were set off into Grand Junction siding by the empty coal train E800-08 that had gone by Bangor at 03:07am this morning.

D801-08 (Q326) @ 6:28pm eastward has their signal to depart Grand Junction mp CG53 with CSXT engines #5120 + #989 + #62 + #586 & 87 cars. They were delayed awaiting a waiver from the Mechanical Dept due to the CSXT #989 missing a brake shoe.

They went under Isbell St. around 16:50, I got there about 15 seconds too late.
Shortly after, GLC came by, leaving some fly ash cars on the bridge over Grand River.
I'm guessing they'll take care of that on their return north.

My son from Boston arrived shortly before 708 went west and was photographing this train various times on the south side of the tracks from when he went under the bridge to beyond. I heard GLC coming while he was over there so when he got back we quickly drove over to the GLC viaduct on Grand River, and because he stopped got some fantastic photos of the power on this train 398+384+386. It was the first time the both of us had seen 386, and yes, it has the identical horn on it that is also on 384 & 383.

D801-08 (Q326) @ 8:35pm in Grand Rapids was advised he's to pair up the CSXT engines #5120 + #62 for tomorrow's Q327-09. Then, the CSXT #989 is to be paired with the CSXT #586 to become the "D job" engines. This came about due to neither of Q326's engines, the #62 + #586, being suitable to be a leading engine.

Amtrak P371-09 @ 06:35am westward reported by the DD mp CG19.1 with 18 axles (+2 error) & 315 ft long. IDTX engine #4631 & 3 SuperLiners.

Q327-09 @ 06:56am westward reported by the DD mp CG19.1 with 244 axles & 3,392 ft long. CSXT engines #5120 + #62 & 58 cars. Due to issues with both of yesterday's Q326-08 engines (#62 + # 586) neither could be used as the leader for today's Q327-09. They took CSXT #5120 from the "D Job" pair to lead Q327-09 & the CSXT #586 is now paired with CSXT #989 for the "D Jobs".
