Question for Tom and others. There was a meet at Trowbridge on Saturday. I noticed both trains had steel coil cars more than I had seen on past CSX trains in the Lansing area. Is there a reason for this? Thanks in advance.
The Jackson & Lansing has been getting quite a few coil cars from CSX lately for RSDC in Holt.

He’s taking the siding and rolling slow. Has a long cut of loaded grain cars that L305 pulled from ADM Webberville yesterday
Do larger grain operations get their own train, and smaller orders just get switched by L305? I had always wondered what L305 had to do at ADM Webberville if there are dedicated grain trains that run occasionally.

ADM and The Anderson's share the plant at Webberville. The grain elevators are all ADM, while all of the large tanks and other structures on the south west side are all The Anderson's. The loose car loads of random hoppers and tank cars, as well as the occasional unit potash train, are all for The Anderson's. The grain trains are for ADM.

ADM will load out single or small blocks of cars as well, especially if they don't have enough of a certain commodity for a unit train. That was the case with these cars. They were all loaded in CSX system hoppers.

Departing now…

As far as I know Y jobs aren’t changing but I’m sure others can confirm

Those cars just kept rolling by and I just kept on counting.

L301-04 westbound will be making a set out and possible pick up at Hartford for the WMR and will be making a trip down to Sawyer Michigan and Arlington metals

In the consist today were quite a few covered hoppers /sand service for the MS 2 refrigerated box cars + covered hoppers/grain service for the WMR numerous coil cars and quite a few cars bound for Holland area industries.
