L303-14 @ 13:08 Grand Rapids, Mi job briefing with the RN Dispatcher: CSX engine #938 + mid dpu CSX engine #823 & 152 cars (90 loads + 62 empties) @ 13,161 tons & 9,452 feet long. Lots of static & I couldn't hear the dpu's position number. He has work in Lansing & is close to departing.

I’ll get that dpu position . I’m in position at Sunnyside.

You are correct. L303-14 just rolled by at Sunnyside with mentioned cars and engines. I believe it’s a K5HLA horn

L303-14 @ 2:04 pm cleared Sunnyside mp 151.44 with CSX #938 trailed by 75 cars with mid CSX #823 (Spirit of Cecil Christopher) at POSITION 76 and 77 cars trailing DPU CSX #823.

You are correct. L303-14 just rolled by at Sunnyside with mentioned cars and engines. I believe it’s a K5HLA horn

18:28 - L305 ran around in South Lyon. Proceeding west out of the siding. Has work remaining at Ann Pere.

He’ll add CSX engines #253 + #718 behind his leader at the east end of Wells mp CG41.5 & then tie down there. Another crew is on duty to take the train to West Olive, Mi.

Should be another grain empty for Newayo. 3375 leading. 8903 was trailing. First grain empty in a long time that has not gone through under the cover of darkness in the middle of the night.

Both 3375 and 8903 have DPU stickers. I thought CSX's policy was to use DPU when both locomotives were capable. Maybe not for empty unit trains?

L303-14 @ 20:06 released his EC1 for Ensel/east end Grand Ledge to proceed eastward & G126-11 copied their EC1 @ 20:09 to proceed westward (couldn't make out his location & the limits of his authority due to static).
G126-11 @ 20:37 westward received permission by the Stop signal at Ensel mp CH90. There appears to be signal system issues & he's to notify the Dispatcher when he sees his 1st good signal.
