17:41 - L302 west through South Lyon. CSXT 5223 + CSXT 3457(?) + BPRR 3345
Green Oak DD at CH39.1 said 394 axles.

17:45 - L303 east through South Lyon. CSXT 4564 + CSXT 890
Green Oak DD at CH39.1 said 317 axles.

So what happens to to U301-05? Do they get another engine from on M326 from Chicago or wait for a spare to come from GR on a L301 on Monday with a normal run?

It’s too bad to hear what happened with L301/U301. They have been having issues with engines. They need another engine or pair to tow the entire train. U301-05 was expected to head to Sawyer to work but ended up breaking down on Riverside double tracks at mp CG 80.9

This will cause issues for other trains if one of the two main tracks is occupied, if they need to take the siding

2nd unit turned out to be 3451 instead of 3457. BBRR 3545, for MQT is the most dirty and badly faded G&W unit I have ever seen. 302 had as many stone loads, if not more, as L303 had as empties on the rear of their train. (33)

19:05 - L302-06 thru the diamonds at Trowbridge. I'm used to seeing these generically painted locomotives shine in the light. The Operation Lifesaver sticker on the rear conductors' side is peeling too, visible in the above photo. Of note to me at least is the single headlight on the rear of the locomotive, always an interesting difference from the norm.

M327-07 @ 06:57 Grand Rapids, Mi job briefing with the RN Dispatcher: CSX engines #5421 + #7212 & 38 cars (21 loads + 17 empties) @ 3,498 tons & 2,500 feet long. Still doubling up their train at this time. Sounds like they had to get a replacement Conductor that arrived on duty at 6:30am. Engineer was on duty at 4:30am
