L303-02 @ 11:55 Grand Rapids mark up with the RN Dispatcher: CSX engine #3453 (solo) & 56 cars (19 loads + 37 empties) @ 3,611 tons & 3,293 feet long. He’s ready to depart & has work for Lansing - final destination is Detroit. This engine was the solo power on last night's L302-01.

Note: I observed L301-02 eastbound M327-02 M326-02 and Amtrak P371-02 pass through Zeeland Michigan however I did not post about them.

17:53 - RN on the phone with L313, mentioned "setting off [their] engines for that grain train."
Could be related to the grain train at Grand Ledge which had only one unit on it's way west.
18:13 - L302-02 west thru Brighton with 3346 and 7210 leading 153 cars (624 axles). CSX 483315 in the consist.

For the record, I will not be reporting from Brighton for a few days due to a trip up north. I expect to be away from Wednesday until Sunday.
People like to debate where "up north" really starts, I think Houghton is far north enough to count.

He’ll meet R598-02 at the east end of Wells mp CG41.3 to get CSX engines #846 + #3133 from him & then add those behind his leader. He will continue on to the power plant in West Olive, Mi. if he has enough on duty time remaining. He'll have to wait for Amtrak P371 & possibly M327.
