At 09:28 C801-30 had contacted the Dispatcher from the Fremont sub-division mp CGC28.9 saying they had stopped their train due to the crew's on duty time expiring. Dispatcher had said they have to cut their train at the crossing & to contact the MTO (Manager Train Operations). The crossing is either Van Buren mp CGC29 or New Holland mp CGC28 (or maybe both).

L301-03 @ 10:08 Grand Rapids, Mi mark up with the RN Dispatcher: CSX engines #4057 + #8801 & ?? cars. He’ll head westward for work at Buzzi Cement mp CG5.2 & then he’ll go into Waverly mp CG22.8 & later westward to Hartford mp CG68.7 & Coloma mp CG76.7 & to Sawyer mp CG105.2

L301-03 @ 11:18 westward reported by the Defect Detector mp CG19.1 Zeeland, Mi with 140 axles. CSX engines #4057 + #8801 & 32 cars. He’s headed into Waverly mp CG22.8 & later he’ll head west for work at Hartford mp CG68.7 & Coloma mp CG76.7 & to Sawyer mp CG105.2

L301-21 @ 12:35 had advised track workers at Wells they won’t be back east until 17:00 hours and informed them M326 was called late today at 11:00 hours. DD44.2 remains out of service due to track work.

L303-03 at this time haven’t been heard

Marquette Rail @ 13:10 released EC1 authority at CGE3.6 Turner St and informed Dispatcher “see ya Friday”. They have tomorrow off for 4th of July

L303-03 @ 13:53 Grand Rapids, Mi mark up with the RN Dispatcher: CSX engines #7210 + #3346 & 148 cars (25 loads and 123 empties) @ 7,169 tons and 8,065 ft long. He is building his train from 3 tracks (triple) and departing after. He has a couple of set offs and 30 cars to pick up in Ensel Yard in Lansing. Crew was on duty at 13:00 hours.

R598-03 @ 14:10 heard on the scanners with BNSF #9264. They are connecting the parts of C801-30 that was tied down on the Fremont Sub

I think you are right. I heard Dispatcher calling L301 earlier and asked the crew if they will beat M326 or will be behind M326. L301’s side was in static on scanners.

L303-03 by Howell at 18:33. 5500 on the head end (Spirit of Cincinnati) 5444 trailing with 65 cars Has ZVBX Ogihara cars 625755,1010, 625770 in the middle. Train has slow speed restrictions at Fowlerville from the recent ongoing work there.

R598-03 @ 14:17 copied their EC1 at mp CGC28.9 on the Fremont sub-division as the re-crew for C801-30 to take the train into the power plant in West Olive, Mi. It was the New Holland Street crossing that was cut.

2 engines and 177 cars with +3 axle error? Or 2 engines and 178 cars with a -1 axle error. From L303-03’s job briefing earlier, he stated “couple of set offs and 30 cars to pick up”. I’m thinking 178 cars is the correct count
