R598-20 @ 15:54 westward reported by the Defect Detector mp CG44.2 Pearl, Mi with 544 axles. BNSF engine #9107 & 130 empty coal cars & rear dpu BNSF engine #9036 & CSX engines #819 + #966. He’ll take Grand Jct siding mp CG54 & tie down.

L303-20 @ 16:12 eastward Breton Road mp CH146 with CSX #81 YN2 leader and CSX #315 with 156 cars. A heavy train today by the sounds of rail screeches and cleared the cleared the crossing after 5 minutes.

In consist: small group batches of tankers on head end, mid train and rear end, 15-20 ish 55-65ft boxcars, 8 LPG tankers, 10 coil cars, good amount of 2 bag hoppers (loaded with sand?), 27 3-bay hoppers (phosphate? / grain? /plastic pellets?), 2 empty bulkheads, 3 loaded centerbeams and 2 empty rock hoppers.

Rush hour drivers wasn’t happy to see a freight train interrupt their drive home.
Average railfan reporter on Grand Rapids Sub, Plymouth Sub, and Area Short Lines Railroads.

It was bad downtown, traffic was backed over a mile either direction when the last rail car cleared the crossing a couple people were cheering lol.

I bet that GRE Yard is jammed up. Y297 could take the empties SB if GRE left some. That Grand Rapids Wye area is always jammed with traffic on all sides especially for L303/L302 or Y106 that goes 10mph in and out of yard limits.

C801-19 @ 18:04 eastward reported by the Defect Detector mp CG91.9 St Joseph, Mi with 516 axles. BNSF engine #6361 & 126 loaded coal cars & rear dpu BNSF engine #5893.

L302-20 by Howell at 17:37 with 95 cars per the 392 axle count on the DD at Fowlerville. Did not see the train. Going through Williamston at 18:07.

I was incorrect the empty gons did not go to Padnos, went to whoever their client is to the north? They came back with 3 loaded ones.

Of course. Everything 297 works at Fuller is GRE, Haviland, Padnos, and occasionally Victor S Barnes.
