CSX GRE MQT Train Location Update 10-12-08

Unread post by Tlout »

Amtrak P371 arrived on time at Holland - same power as yesterday.

Heard X500-11 heading for Zeeland, packed up my video camera and headed east - they were too far ahead to catch up to.

Heard Q326-12 heading east to Holland shorty after Amtrak had cleared New Richmond. Caught them at 143rd Ave. south of Holland at 8:55 AM - CSX 7741, 4768. Followed them to Wyoming Yard. CSX 2567 and ex-ConRail 4411 were sitting hooked on to some autracks pointed west. (EDIT - just looked at my pics - these engines aren't hooked on to the autorack train.) CSX 2564 was there waiting for Q326 to clear out of the way.

D801 (BNSF light power) headed south from West Olive and then west - coaldrag must be scheduled to head up to West Olive soon...

Doktor No wrote:No one noticed W86511? Three multiple axle flats for Bridgeman to pick up three stators for Pineville, North Carolina for refurbishment. When I put it together last night I looked at the capy 710,000 on one of the cars. Amazing that such massive items move with relative ease over land on the railroad.
Gee, thats why I find the job interesting from time to time.

Don't have the ability to find by city.. just randomly type in symbols and guess at what might be out there. Thanks for at least posting it Dok... Currently at: GREY MI CG 83 10-12-2008 13:32 (they are actually on their way back right now)
Looks like they'll come back to GR before going east.

Eastern coal loads departing GR right now for West Olive, N91408. They are said to be bringing empties back south then east to GR. CSXT 7660 leading

good find chris... K35611 still in chicago, might leave around 3pm today. They thought they'd leave GR around midnight and get to detroit around 8:30am tomorrow...Since it's 3 now and hasn't left, dunno how the times will be later today.

Looks like it's going to be a Grand Elk engine?
This is my life. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
