Looks quiet again today at the GRE (but I got fooled yesterday :roll: ) CSX picked up and left 1, NS still hasn't been there. Couldn't get a good look at 371's power :(

Couple of notes... some train, maybe Amtrak P371, was deadheading a crew towards Chicago..was told that when they met up with Q326, to unload that crew and send them back to Grand Rapids.
When yesterday's Q32613 arrived in GR at 6pm, it still had the dead crew onboard that had left Chicago at 1am... 2nd engine was dying too, worried it might freeze in this weather, so off to the engine house to warm up.

A few notes...

G673-12 for Flint in GA with CSX 7861-5314
G423-10 in OH for Flint with CSX 4558-4757

Q326-14 has CSX 8748-8603 and 13 loads-71 empties into GR

Q151-14 coming out of Cleveland with CSX 4409-8362 (GP40-2-SD40-2 combo)

X500-13 shows as having CSX 8628-8062-7505-4823 and no CP power....

E446-13 on duty at 1145 with CSX 369-77 with eastern West Olive empties

K388-13 (WLE Coke Empties) to run tonight..

Q327 cleared Plymouth with several I would estimate 10 - 15 covered hoppers DSSX(salt?) and other mixed freight at about 3:00 or 15:00. I failed in engine numbers and my camera locked up so no pictures. It was lead by an SD40-2 and C40-8.

Q327-14 had CSX 8368-7572 for power. Looked to be 20 or more of the salt cars as he had the biggest amount I have seen yet. Said train has been sitting at Fowlerville for 2 hours waiting for a G010 grain train together at Webberville which should become a G780-12 The G010 has been putting the train together since 1350 hours. D709-14 arrived at Williamston at 1500 hrs, and has been sitting idel behind them for over three hours now. They have to work Webberville themselves as soon as the grain train leaves. So much for D709 doing anything other than Webberville grain for their work of the day today. RN has them clearing up there upon their arrival as he needs to move Q327 and more SOON (so he says) :cry:

Late Update: At 1950 hrs, Webberville Grain load sitting on the main at Fowlerville waiting for a road crew to take it east where it will become G780-12, D709-14 locked up and holding tight at Webberville Grain, Q327-14 moved from Fowlerville to Williamston to meet E446-13 (CSX 469 leading) and X500-13 (CP 9781 leading) who are now both running through the siding around G780 at Fowlerville. D709-14 will leave its entire train at Webberville and go back to Ensel engine light (so much for their big work for the day)

Sounds like Amtrak is in trouble just west of the bridge at St. Joe. Tower at Wyoming having conversation with D80213 that just went up north past Riley st. about ten minutes ago - there was hope that they might cut loose from the coal drag and head down to help. D802 says they can't cut loose in the power block, and that it would take 2 and a half to three hours to get down there even if they could break off...

Once in a life time amtrak is going to a BNSF engine on the head end from e949

CSX is having problems at Eckles Road in Plymouth tonight with the crossing needing to be flagged due to a power outage in the area.

Q131 is coming west with UP 4115 leading and will cross over at Hines Park after Q151 clears.
Q287 is coming into Rougemere with the CSX 407 solo.

uh, maybe on the Pere Marquette train, but I see BNSF power all the time in Chi that comes in from 4, 6,or 8.

Looks like they have a grinstein MAC leading along with the P42. They are sitting on the service track in the yard near Judd. Must have wyed the train before backing into the station and then heading back to Wyoming yard. So, there was originally no cabbage on 370 tonight? I thought they've been doing the push-pull system for a while now.

With the recent weather woes out west, one might think BNSF was taking over Amtrak. There was a Cascades train running with BNSF 4081 on one end and 2079 on the other.

Also on January 7th train 370 in Chicago had engine 179 and three coaches only. For unknown reasons they pulled forward into CUS and at the 5:20pm departure had to back out of the station and turn around at Canal St. wye.
