Edit to add
there is a 490 working the yard at Durand as of 2:25 AM with a CN 5677 leading (per the Durand scanner feed)
dont know what id do without you and your updates thanks jim watch for that KCS belle to return
IThanks, and will watch for that KCS engine to return north again.
490 has departed Durand but was away from the computer so unsure of the time. I will try to catch it at the hotbox detector here in Waterford.
766 stopped at Pontiac apparently to re-crew, they are talking with the diesel doc for a question about inspections on one of the engines. They should be departing Pontiac shortly.
In the mean time I heard 490 calling south yard at Pontiac asking about pick-up as 490 has no set outs for Pontiac. I have not heard a response for 490 yet. 490 rolled by the HBD at 34.2 with 172 axels at 4:10 am.
The 'South Yard' you hear is the yardmaster in Flint who keeps track of the yards after first shift; I have heard them talking with trains working Pontiac, East yard, Lansing, wouldn't surprise me if they were taking care of Battle Creek also.

Thanks, I had been wondering just who south yard was.
