And not the 2005! The 2005 is altered one, the one that did the last two Santa trains, remember?

Is altered one? I don't know what that means. :?:

I guess it's 2008? I shot this at f4 and when zoomed in, the number board could be either 05 or 08 as it's not in focus. And I always forget to look at the train as it's passing.

2008 is in yellow isn't it? I thought the gray's where 3002/3003. The 3002 has been down here a lot lately. Heard that the 3003 is in the paint shop and that the 3002 will be next.

The 2005 is THE altered one. The UP gray was replaced with blue, along with a few other slight revisions. So based on your photo, it is NOT the 2005.

EDIT: Looked at it in the lightbox, it is certainly they 2008

Yeah, I usually don't pay attention to minor details like that. Is it a train? Yes. Is it pretty? Yes. PICTURE!

Darn they painted over the best one!!!! Why couldn't they have painted one of the awful gray ones? I've never even seen the MQT!!!! I just wish it wasn't so far to Grand Rapids etc.! Tomorrow (9-26) and Friday I'll be chasing the last few Rail America painted units in the tumb; though I've seen them many times!!!! 8)

Will there still be anything unchanged by late October? I am hoping to go see the MQT next month! Are they planning a Santa Train? If so, I'm sure it'll be
"Orange!!!!"

I saw HESR and LSRC in the "Thumb" last Thursday/Friday! We have yet to see "Orange" on HESR! Not much happened in the "Thumb" though! We only saw the new HESR 3036 (former CMGN 9712) and HESR 3037 (former WGCR 9519) sitting! Vassar had 3036 parked—Caro had 3037! We saw a local in Saginaw with HESR 3038 (former KHXR 9580) and HESR 2025 (former CORP 3826)! We looked at Lake State Railway's roundhouse! In Bay City we only saw stuff sitting in Weona Yard! The old Saginaw Valley SW12 #998 parked on the side track! There also was HESR 3866 still in Rail America colors and name! HESR 2027 (former NECR 3852) was coupled to the RA engine! It was a nice trip! We did see a CN freight in Imlay City on the way up!

By the way—how is IORY doing with their locos? Are the SP painted lessors still unchanged? Those don't come to Michigan I believe!!!!
