Heads up for Points South of Linden, got a good report here!!

Southbound CN train 116, South of Linden at 7:22 am with UP 7966, UP 6242, 132 cars. First 50 or so cars were autoracks, and with the binoculars, some were actually loads, which was a bit surprising to me - loads going toward Detroit, but then again I hardly ever see 116 as he is typically a very early in the morning train. The rest of the consist was intermodal, mostly double stacks. Cool to see this train and with UP Power. You could hear him coming from a few miles away, really pulling hard with a loaded train.

One other thing I did was to notice I am about 29 autoracks North of the Linden Road crossing, so with the power, maybe 2700 feet or so North, then at a right angle from there about 2000 feet. Can see the trains well with binoculars, although since summer is in full swing (trees, and other greenery), my horizontal field of view is less than what it was in the winter.

I had read earlier in the spring that CN was owed a lot of power hours from other class 1s. I guess they are getting their $$$ worth.
