The lumber load is probably for the lumberyard in Grandville, which is a trailing point and would be their last switch of the day on the way into Wyoming. Towing it more than halfway to Chicago means it’ll be right behind the power for a quick setoff on their return run.

At 12:30, MSRR Z627 was working at Holland. Waverly looks stuffed with cars, between the large consists D700 has brought in the past few days, cars were on the old Holland pass and Waverly siding waiting to be sorted. No sign of Y121 at that time. A csx track crew was stationed near the switch off the main to the Dock Track. A few switch ties have also been laid down at the switch onto the Hamilton Branch for eventual replacement.

In Zeeland,
Plastcore had 3 covered hoppers on their spur the other day, the most I’ve ever seen. Z Lumber and Vanden Bosch are both empty.
