I gave a gestimate time on their location that would be why. But shouldn't take that long between S. Lyon and Plymouth. Also heard the RN to talk to them around CH25 so maybe they had to stopped and pick a switch with a broom.

Well that's weird. Mike T reported X500 cleared Beck at 3:35. It must have stopped at CH25, but for what? Crew change?
It's possible that they gave E441 the signal over the diamond well before X500 was near, so they just kept X500 at Beck Road. I know they used to stop eastbound trains at the signal at Beck Road, but now that Sheldon Road traffic can no longer be blocked by trains, I don't know why they could not pull-up X500 to the diamond signal? :?

Chris all I heard was something was iceing up on X500 but got it fixed or the ice melted before E441 got into the yard so they gave X500 the green first just to keep them moving

   I drove to Allegan this afternoon and it was pretty bad...probably the worst I've ever driven in, and that's saying a lot considering I love driving in winter weather...and I've driven in some bad stuff in my life. I even did my good deed for the day and helped push a guy out of a snow bank after he took a turn too wide. Actually, he couldn't even see the road due to the whiteout. I was the first one to stop and help and I'm glad I had a shovel in my car to help dig him out. Shortly after I stopped, two other people stopped to help and it wasn't too long before he was on his way again. :)

X50020 had to stop and clear the switch from the main to the SW wye. The dispatcher was going to give E44119 the signal across the diamond, but X500 had the switch cleared pretty quick and went first.

1622: CP 9674 and eastbound X50020 crossing Mill Street on a frigid December afternoon.

After X500 went by, E44119 got the signal to continue south. And after they cleared the diamond, Q32721 got the signal to head west.

1640: CSXT 7501 leads Q32721 west at Holbrook Road.

Man...was it COLD out there today.

Hmmm. Wonder why the 8 ball told Zack that Q327 was annulled.
