I believe D801 is a new crew that hoped on N900, going west by Port Sheldon as of 2:10pm. They took N900's power at least, maybe they didn't take the coal with though, who knows... defect detector will know soon enough. They should be grabbing the empties off of 2, 3, and 7 track at west olive and putting together E94918.

mqt z15122, gllx 3003 going north going by sunnyside in GR - 2:02pm
Y106 in GR at 2:13pm, not sure where

argh, east tower was stepping over MP 19.1 defect detector again, but there was a good 4 minutes between the start and end of the MP19.1 transmission, so they did pull N900 with, which makes sense.

BNSF 717 is a "fauxbonnet."

Thought so. I think I saw it awhile back but on NS. Notice the orange battery box (at least I think that's the battery box).

What's with the "S"? Is there that much business they had to run an extra or because of all the bad weather lately trains aren't getting running when they are supposed to? Just curious....
"S" prefixed trains are usually extra manifests or automotive loads (Q-200 and Q-300 series).

It's the air conditioner.

Trains to Watch For- 6/22/10

There are several trains out and about today with interesting power. Hopefully, someone somewhere can get a few. K695 has SOO 6060 and a pair of CP's, and departed Selkirk and 9:00am, supposedly around Syracuse now. K637 has two DME's, my guess being the 6083 and 6364, which went east on K694 on Sunday, and is probably around Cleveland now. K694 and K675 should both be through Cleveland by now, CITX, DME and ICE, and then CITX and two DME's repsectively. Also, there are several trains with BNSF and UP out and about, but I haven't heard of what symbols. At the very least, expect the CITX/DME/ICE combo on K694 coming back on Thursday. I'll be sure to post updates as I get them.

Knew I should have gone to Greenwich today. Train probably would have come through right when the clouds moved on too.

On the side of the locomotive? Don't most A/C units go above the cab?

Have you ever seen a wide-cab with a roof-top AC unit? AC units can go above the cab, usually when they're added as an afterthought on older units.
