Did see a rather meth looking woman at the gas station on Michigan Ave, no bra and ugly nipple poking through, that was quite the highlight.
If you liked that then you should highball over to Muskegon and check out the Wallmart on Sherman. A trip there always makes me feel really good about my life. If you are really fealing brave, go after 10pm.

LSRC Z127 should be heading south by now out of Saginaw, Power is the 3100, 5921, and the 3062. Looks like mixed freight.

Took them almost 3 hours to get the train put together. The crew came on duty about 8:45 or so last night. Nice to see the 5921 getting some use.

4433 is pretty much done on MQT. Sounds like G&W didn't like them using it.

Why? Safety systems or something?

That and it's old. You have to remember, it was ordered new for GTW, so it's probably about 50 years old or so...That and parts for it are not as easily found as they are for other units on MQT. Just my 2 cents anyway.

Could be, but they replaced it with a GP10 made just one year after the 4433.

Why pay for a lease when you have a unit not being used? The 3000 pops on on the GW website head liner photo every now and then pulling a high wide cat train.

So it isn't really the unit, more the lease...?

If that is the case, hope the 3000s are not on the chopping block!

Man! I've wanted to go out and see it these last couple years! Does anyone know where it will go now? Will it still be leased—or would Saginaw Railway Museum take it back? I hope it's not done!!!! GTW High Hood Locos are my favorite—I remember seeing them a lot as a kid! I know Conrad Yelvington near Flint has 4428 in use!

Here's my favorite GTW GP9 picture—taken by Dad (I was 6 and there too!): http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPi ... id=2840769

GLC 398 and 399 south out of Cadillac at 9:30 this morning. 10, yes 10, pole flats from Manton, 2 empty centerbeams, 1 boxcar and 1 sand hopper.

GLC 397 and 393 into Cadillac at 2:30 this afternoon with 1 tank car, 1 plastics hopper, 6 sand hoppers and 4 coke hoppers. They headed to Yuma shortly afterwards. Good to see one of the older units up north again.

GRE --- Eastbound over Leonard/Plainfield at 8:25 with three CHs....including the two that have been sitting near the power barn for the past several days. There were several other cars in the yard this morning that it did not take....

GRE --- Heading east again....currently crossing Leonard/Plainfield with four nonKing-looking CHs. Grand Elk must have visited earlier today --- I heard horns but did not see them crossing Leonard either north or southbound.
