No steam this year. Only diesels.

So Im in Cadillac. Just arrived at 10:30pm Sunday. I see passenger cara from color trip are at the yard at the north end of town. No sign of locomotives. Do they keep them inside for the weekend? Any updates are appreciated.

They start keeping them inside when the weather starts turning colder. Up to this week they were spotted outside.

Heard them leave town around 0830.

Returned at 1515. Looked like 2 coke hoppers, 2 covered hoppers, 2 tanks and a pole load. Didn't have a clear look at them.

MONDAY GLC went north to TC light to pick up 1 centerbeam. Here is a report with photos from my trip:

Leaving Cadillac towards Clare at 0930. Couldn't see them.

392 and 390 return at 1515 with nothing in tow.

390 and 392 leaving Cadillac for Clare at 0830 with 1 covered hopper, 1 empty center beam and 6 coke empties.

Great Lakes Central south through Mount Pleasant 13:50

GLC 395 Leading
GLC 396

10 Covered Hoppers (plastics)
1 empty pole flat
2 covered hoppers (plastics)
6 tanks (3 white "argo liquid" tanks, 3 DOT111s)
6 coke hoppers
15 3 bay covered hoppers

Total: 40 cars

392 and 390 return to Cadillac at 1500 with 3 tanks, 6 coke hoppers, 7 tie gons, 1 loaded centerbeam, 3 pole loads, 1 covered hopper and 6 tanks.

Breaking News*** sorry guys, it's bad news about GLC GP35 #393 "10th Anniversary". From what I hear, the loco is in the shops at Owosso for maintenance problems, now idk if it's mechanical or electrical, it'll run and stop running and it does that over and over again. I will try to get more info about it, but it's suspended from service until further notice....

UPDATE: 393 has been repaired.

Comes from ABC Coke in AL by CSX. Some might also come from Towanda Coke in NY by NS but I'm not sure.
