Those three lite units on the Holly I reported on earlier just went by with a very long doublestack train heading north. It was passed by 391 going the same way behind my house (exciting double-track action). Too bad it is dark out now.

Earlier this evening, around 7:30 pm, was a southbound by my house that looked like an early 502.

At 10:20 another train went by on the Holly Sub south of Pontiac. This one a southbound. Probably the real 502. Busy night on the Holly Sub. Fourth freight tonight not counting the local that came back around 5 pm or so.

Today at 3 pm got caught by the gates going down at the Opdyke Road crossing at MP 22.2 on the Holly Sub. and watched a parade of about a dozen self-propelled track maintenance equipment heading north towards Pontiac. Avoiding the holdup I turned down Kensington Road and it sort of looked like they were coming from working just north of Long Lake Road in Bloomfield Hills on Track 2 but couldn't be sure. This might be why I saw the CN Police Car take the access road down that way from Opdyke last week?

Nice to hear that GTW 4907 is still operating between Flint and Pontiac! Also didn't even know that IC 2457 "Blue Devil" was in the state. :|

OK SD70ACe Fan, there are still "Many More" of them still in
"Orange!!!!" I checked all "J" SD38-2/3 and found (as of rrpictures.net) that you are correct! Please don't feel bad—as you already saw three different EJE "Orange" locos! However, I am  "MAAAAD" at CN for buying all these railroads—Wisconsin Central® being the one I wish stayed the most of all! They were by far the "Greatest" for the Algoma Central®!!!! Below are a few of my (Pro Canon® 35mm) pictures of some railroads I wish CN didn't buy:

Just spotted a 12 car Loram Maintenance train working the CN west track in the North Yard. Might be the same equipment you saw.

Going back to the post Robertrains posted about the CN "Fallen Flag" railroads, it is sad, especially for EJ&E and WC, I've never even see a WC whether if it is a REAL one of a scenic railway or display. If Robertrains or anyone on railroadfan can tell/show me how to post a picture(s) on the page, that'd be great, then I'll post my pics of EJ&E 656, 662, & 672.

Former DT&I GP38X?X? 6223 in CN black has been working one of the two locals out of Pontiac this week. Just brought 950 past MP 22.5 on its way back to Pontiac Yard.

If they were working on Main 2 in Bloomfield Hills yesterday they put the track back in operation as 950 took it south this morning. Did see some CN heavy duty work trucks gathering at Opdyke Road crossing this morning around 10 am, though. Maybe the equipment did move on as DB said.

That is the rail grinder.

Track equipment is being used along the Holly Subdivision for crossing replacements in Ferndale. They finished Woodward Heights last week, and crews moved on to Cambourne.

I just get real sensitive when a cool engine is up here or going through Michigan. Where I live, in Eaton Rapids, MI, the only cool stuff I see in and near the Lanaing area on the CN is the IC, BCOL, and the GTW, I never usually get a EJ&E or a BLE, WC or DMIR, I've never even seen a DMIR or WC!!!  I always get the same thing over and over again, also goes with the Cory yard engines too. I just hope I'll see more good stuff on CN before it all gets painted over and has the evil sub lettering on it!
