If they steal the loco off of P364, will it have enough axles to run on CNSaturnalia wrote: ↑Sat Jul 02, 2022 6:16 pmGrain train for Decatur.extra board wrote: ↑Sat Jul 02, 2022 5:19 pmWent by Michigan city 15 min ago.

As of 18:15 ET, he’s stopped in the siding at Dowagiac, as #352 developed a problem and has been stopped on the main just east of the siding for over an hour troubleshooting whatever it is. This also means Dowagiac is presently cut in half.
As of 18:42, it sounds like they plan to steal #364’s rear unit. I’m otta here, this circus is gonna be going on for too long lol
My step-dad told me that the Amtrak finally went through Dowagiac at 8:05pm and the NS grain train left shortly afterwards. There were two crossings in Dowagiac that weren’t blocked by the grain train as it waited. They were the two crossings on the south side of town.Saturnalia wrote: ↑Sat Jul 02, 2022 6:16 pmGrain train for Decatur.extra board wrote: ↑Sat Jul 02, 2022 5:19 pmWent by Michigan city 15 min ago.

It looks like they may have ultimately combined 352 and 354…LansingRailFan wrote: ↑Sat Jul 02, 2022 9:23 pmIf they steal the loco off of P364, will it have enough axles to run on CNSaturnalia wrote: ↑Sat Jul 02, 2022 6:16 pmGrain train for Decatur.extra board wrote: ↑Sat Jul 02, 2022 5:19 pmWent by Michigan city 15 min ago.

Arrived at Pontiac at 6:32 ET, which is about 9 hours late for 352, and 5 hours late for the 354. And, it’s already behind the departure time for 351. Hopefully they have that spare engine so they can still run both 351 and 353, even though I doubt 351 will get out much before 353’s departure time!
The hand rails were removed when I rode 355 on Monday. It was dumb to detrain out of one door in Chicago. Really made the process take forever compared to what it should be. The holes for attaching the handrails are visible on the yellow trap door cover.
Train 354 was stopped in Kalamazoo for 8 hours last night and didn’t head east until 6:40am this morning due to the signal issues.Manistique wrote: ↑Fri Jul 22, 2022 6:20 amNo Train 351 out of Pontiac this morning.
Amtrak Service Alerts said that both 350 and 351 are canceled today. An earlier Alert said 351 was delayed leaving Pontiac due to "ongoing signal issues in the area." Wonder what that means?
Thanks. So they had one less train set in Pontiac for this morning and thus canceled 351, I guess. 353 left on time this morning. I guess we will be seeing yesterday's 354 go by here soon and that will probably be the trainset for 355 this afternoon.Dowagiac Train Dude wrote: ↑Fri Jul 22, 2022 9:55 amTrain 354 was stopped in Kalamazoo for 8 hours last night and didn’t head east until 6:40am this morning due to the signal issues.Manistique wrote: ↑Fri Jul 22, 2022 6:20 amNo Train 351 out of Pontiac this morning.
