CSX Train Location Updates - November 2023

No train on record having run in that time frame. Possibly the rail grinder heading back towards Detroit? Last I've seen of that unit it was west of GR working on the Fremont Sub... But haven't heard where it went after that.

It could have been that but im not sure. I left my scanner back at school so I had no chance of figuring out what it could have been.

Further investigation it appears the rail grinder is somewhere west of Holland yet.

R597-11 @ 20:41 with CSX engines #759 + #3243 lite power copied their EC1 to depart the power plant in West Olive, Mi mp CGP 1.0 & will head southward on the Fremont sub-division to Harlem siding mp CGC28.8 to pick up 1 loaded coal car & take it back to West Olive. Afterwards, he will be taking an empty coal train from the power plant to Wells siding mp CG41.4 ***(There was a change in plans, he had only taken his lite power to Wells siding.)

In about ½ mile he’ll diverge onto the west end of the Wye & onto the Fremont sub-division. Dispatcher had told him not to go too far past the Wye & he might have to back his train up. No other details at the moment until the Dispatcher gets back to him.

R597-12 crew will assist him by taking the CSX power off the train & into the east end of Wells Siding mp CG41.4 & tie them down.
