E800/D802(?) just crossed US-31 in Holland with a pair of CSX GE’s leading some BNSF power. I presume the CSX engines will help a loaded coal train up the hill later today.

D706 with its 167 car train out of Lansing yesterday was trying to make Silver Lake Road crossing west of South Lyon before they died. That plan died when GLC had the diamond blocked for 45 minutes at Ann Pere. D906 recrew called for 02:00 and arrived in Howell at 06:00, put the train back together at Highlander Way, and now three hours later still has been unable to move the train with air issues, and the crossing still blocked.

Edit: Now moving eastward at 09:55. Both units on the head end.

Q327-12 @ 09:18am advised Dispatch the D702 had heard what sounded like a grinding noise coming from their 82nd car as they were departing Holland. Q327 is going to do a roll by test at or near the 24th Street crossing mp CG26.4 (nothing was found).

Q326-12 @ 09:28am eastward reported by DD mp CG91.9 with 236 axles & 3,395 ft long. CSXT engine #3362 + 1 & 56 cars.

Beat them to EE Brighton by about 15 seconds, thru EE Brighton at 10:16, though it smelled like they had a stuck brake or something. Calling as D906.

Thru the Green Oak DD and calling a clear pair for South Lyon at 10:29.
Defect Detector reports "no defects" with 680 total axles, computing to 2 locomotives and 167 cars, and a length of 10,560' - my scanner's really liking these 17°F temperatures
