Q326-10 @ 10:36:36 eastward Bangor's Division St crossing mp CG60.93 cam with CSX engines #5302 + #415 & 66 cars. Same engine from yesterday's Q327 that's been a rarity as of late when Q326 returns with Q327's engines.

Never say never, the coal that comes from that other mine via the UP engines is typically 115 cars, must be more efficient than what they're getting from the usual place having typically 130 cars. From what we've been told in the past, the power plant burns nearly 130 cars of coal per day. Also, there have been power plants that had switched from coal to natural gas & recently went back to using coal because the price of natural gas had soared.

D801-09 @ 11:20 eastward reported by the DD mp CG44.2 with 544 axles & 7,318 feet long. BNSF engine #9313 & UP engines #5420 + #5893 & 130 loaded coal cars & rear BNSF engine #9149. This was N800-08 that had tied down in Grand Jct mp CG54 yesterday.

D706-10 @ 11:32 eastward reported by DD mp CH126.3 with 232 axles. CSX engines #5220 + #5452 & 55 cars.

Q326-10 @ 11:54 eastward reported by the DD mp CG19.1 with 276 axles & 3,851 feet long.

D801-09 @ 11:54 eastward Holland Depot mp CG25.3

Has that been finalized? Last I saw it was just proposed to close in 2025, which doesn't necessarily mean it will happen then. I wouldn't be surprised if it did shut down then, but I also wouldn't be surprised if it was still burning coal in 2030. :)

Couldn’t agree more. At this point, it’s impossible to know and I won’t be surprised either way.
