All through Lake Odessa at 1430. Pulling hard up the hills.

D705-17 @ 2:43pm westward reported by the DD at mp CH126.3 with 848 axles & reported the temperature to be 35 degrees. CSX engines #3394 + #3310 & 209 cars. This detector has a different "voice" and it didn't give a train greeting (unless that was stepped on by other calls) & it didn't provide the length of the train info. Stating the ambient temperature is a new item.
The previous report from the DD at mp CH104.3 did all the usual reports & greeting & the train length was given but another call was stepping on the length info (heard only the last 3 digits for the footage).

D70817 arrived in Howell at 16:45 with 69 cars for GLC. 33 ash cars. Leaving the train on the main, picking up what they 73 cars in the pass and then taking the train to Brighton to run around it before heading back to Lansing. Crew already tied on the cut in the siding at 16:58.

Leaving Brighton, going west as of 18:58. That lone gevo is hard at work, Notch 8 and lots of wheel slip! - going track speed at Dorr Rd.
