High green for a westbound thru Brighton as of 09:27.

Unknown train calling a clear pair for South Lyon at 09:38.

09:44 - DD at 39.1 reports 366 axles and 5103'. The math works out for 2 engines and 88.5 cars, or 3 and 87. No distortions.

There is a fire on the south side of Kalamazoo Street in Lansing right between the CSX and JAIL tracks and the whole area is closed off. I presume this will also affect CSX traffic for a while today.

JAIL’s overnight train is parked at EE Ensel Yard as well. They’ll come back and get it tonight.

CSX G802 westbound thru Brighton at 09:57. Turns out a single engine, 492, lead the 90 car train. It is facing west.
They had called an approach medium for CH 51, not sure why.

Any idea why CSX #769 cannot lead? Ptc issue?

There were no issues reported for the CSX #769, and it appears that will be leading his train today. L302 arrived last night with CSX #5334 leading & it might be just a matter of how those engines were tied down. Typically, they do spin L302's power for the next morning's L303.

L303-11 @ 12:52 eastward reported from Plaster Creek CH151.3 with CSX engines #5334 + #769 & 36 cars. I haven't heard any reason as to why the CSX #769 isn't leading. From his job briefing, which he was doing a bit early while waiting for someone else to move out of his way, it had sounded like the #769 was going to be the leader.
Reported from Godfrey mp CG 0.99 @ 12:56

They don't spin the power for any train unless both units are facing the wrong way or there is something with one of the engines that prevents it from being lead-qualified.
