L301-15 @ 16:05 eastward Holland, Mi Depot mp CG25.25 Main Track diverging to the Pass Track. After his work in Holland/Waverly, he will go to Standale Lumber in Grandville mp CG6.5 for work there.

18:45 - L302 in the siding at Brighton to meet L303.
19:20 - L303 thru WE Brighton with L302 continuing out of the siding at 19:33.
L302-15 had 984 + 549 for power with 52 cars. L305-15 had 8199 + 8619 with 42 cars east of Ogihara. L303-15 had 7240 + 3394 with 88 cars east of Lansing.

Assuming the “HUGE CSX Gondola” was similar to this CSX Gondola that was on todays M326-14. Yes, I know it’s a bad angle shot of the train.

Nope. Stop standing so close to the tracks and stop assuming EVERYTHING.

I’m actually in a public parking lot that happens to be next to CSX tracks and the photo is zoomed in by 1.5x. Unless you have a photo of the CSX gondola from L302 that was mentioned. I’m going to assume it’s similar to the one I captured.

Captured many trains without any issues at this lot nor I had any issues from the CSX Track Inspectors

L302 has 984 and 549 for power, L305, 8199 and 8916.

I thought they had 8619, a SD50-3(?) with 8199 for L305.

You are correct, typo on my end. L305 sandwiched the power between their cut and those left in the siding at Howell. They pushed the siding cut out of the east end and continued west. My original post has been corrected.

My friend caught L305 in East Lansing and it had an EOT on the front of 8619, any clue why?

R598-15 @ 21:30 southward on the Fremont sub-division was advised by the Dispatcher he will be held around mp CGC26 until Amtrak P370 passes thru Holland. He has BNSF engine #6052 &130 empty coal cars & rear dpu BNSF Executive engine #9687 & CSX engines #3039 + #3380. He’ll take Wells Siding mp CG41.4 or Grand Junction siding mp CG54 & tie down.
