CSX Train Location Updates - Oct. 2023

Just curious, how do you find out the rear DPU numbers on the eastbound coal trains once they get into radio range, but before they get to the cameras in Bangor/Holland?

Just curious, how do you find out the rear DPU numbers on the eastbound coal trains once they get into radio range, but before they get to the cameras in Bangor/Holland?

I had created a Word Document listing the loaded coal trains, their engines, and the date it was at Bangor. Then I have a 2nd column for the empty coal trains having the same info for when it was seen. When I hear a loaded coal train being reported by the DD at mp CG91.9 I usually log it on railroadfan with the rear dpu number followed with a question mark, if, it was previously logged in my Word document, because it's possible he may not be returning again due to it being pulled for an inspection date or out of service due to other issues.
If I log the rear dpu as #(??) that means the leader hasn't been here before (per the railroadfan search feature), or, it was months or years ago.
After I see the coal train passing by the Bangor live cam & confirm what the rear dpu number is, I'll usually go back to my initial post & edit in that number.
Typically, when an empty coal train goes by Bangor, those same engines will return on a loaded coal train in 8 days.

He's headed to Wells Siding mp CG41.4 to pickup loaded coal train C801-20 that had tied down there this evening.

L302 and L303 met in Brighton.

L303 had the siding with 12 cars behind them. Evidently they had a new conductor, still in training.
L302 cleared EE Brighton at 17:03, 7209 + 5385 and L303 at 17:06 with 916 + 936, wasting no time after L302 cleared.
