CSX Train Location Updates - June 2024

20:03 - L302-24 stopped in the siding at Brighton. 3008 and 120 lead elephant style.
20:36 - L303-24 east thru WE Brighton with 5277 and 5279 leading. They had 55 cars. Thanks Tom49801 for the update.
20:50 - L302 out of the siding at WE Brighton. I counted 98 cars with CSXT 483311 and ..177. They took maybe eight minutes to exit the siding.
In addition, three brand new MWAX covered hoppers numbered 164, 200, and 199 were towards the end. MWAX is the reporting mark for Martin Marietta Materials Inc.

Late report: L303-24 @ 17:17 eastward was reported by the Defect Detector mp CH104.3 Mulliken, Mi with 204 axles. CSX engines #5277 + #5279 & 49 cars (16 loads + 33 empties) @ 2,999 feet long. He had work for Lansing. He is a “Key Train” & a heat warning is in effect.

M327-25 between 04:37/05:07 Grand Rapids, Mi mark up with the RN Dispatcher: CSX engines #3008 + #120 & 91 cars (43 loads + 48 empties) @ 7,338 tons & 5,375 feet long. These engines are from last night’s L302-24. He’s building his train at this time.

C801-23 @ 02:28 eastward Bangor’s Division St crossing mp CG60.93 live cam with BNSF engine #8545 & 130 loaded coal cars & rear dpu BNSF engine #9264. He had added CSX engines #3459 + #3133 behind his leader at Grand Jct mp CG54 & the CSX #3459 kept shutting down & was found to have no water, they tied here.

At 07:51 the high speed wind warning had been extended to mp CG104.

L301-25 @ 12:34 westward, Pass Track to Main Track, Holland, Mi Depot mp CG25.3 with CSX engines #4057 + #8801 & 4 Gons loaded with boulders. He has work at Hartford mp CG68.7 & will runaround his train at Kirk siding mp CG70.2 & head back east. He'll be taking Saugatuck siding mp CG32.1 to clear up for R597-25 & possibly M326.

R597-25 @ 12:56 eastward reported by the Defect Detector mp CG44.2 Pearl, Mi with 544 axles. BNSF engine #8545 & CSX engines #3459 + #3133 & 130 loaded coal cars & rear dpu BNSF engine #9264. This was C801-23 that had tied down in Grand Jct mp CG53.9 earlier today. He is headed to the power plant in West Olive, Mi. It appears they will be stopping at the east end of Wells mp CG44.3 to pickup the solo BNSF engine #6425 that's tied down there on an empty coal train due to CSX engine #3459 being found with no water in its radiator when C801-23 tried to take their train to the power plant early this morning.

R597-25 @ 14:39 eastward cleared the Holland, Mi Depot mp CG25.3 with BNSF engine #8545 & CSX engines #3459 + #3133 & BNSF engine #6425 & 130 loaded coal cars & rear dpu BNSF engine #9264. This was C801-23 that had tied down in Grand Jct siding mp CG53.9 earlier today. In about ½ mile he’ll diverge onto the west end of the Wye & onto the Fremont sub-division. The CSX #3459 was found with no water in its radiator & the BNSF #6425 was picked up from the east end of Wells siding mp CG43.3
