Ok, at 12:10 there was and westbound going to the Trowbridge diamond. What do you think that was?LansingRailFan wrote: ↑Sat Oct 24, 2020 12:56 pmDriverJon/Micah. There is no D708 today. Bob was reporting on the one yesterday.

Re: CSX Train Location Updates: October, 2020.
These were the loaded coal cars D801-22 had left tied down on the main at Wells yesterday.
Q326-24 @ 1:14pm eastward was reported by the DD at mp CG44.2 with 272 axles & 3,671 feet long. CSX engines #523 + #4016 & 65 cars.
Q326-24 @ 1:19pm reported stopped at the east end of Wells mp CG 41.4 Sounds like D802-23 is having some issues and is stopped ahead of Q326.

That was D906 eastbound. I was in person there to see it. It was stopped ahead of the diamonds near a couple hours for a crew changeMicah_D wrote: ↑Sat Oct 24, 2020 1:11 pmOk, at 12:10 there was and westbound going to the Trowbridge diamond. Amazing how much the younger generation gets so confused over so many things. So as not to get everybody uptight, I will make it more clear and edit the original post. Anybody at South Lyon, get a car count. 706 by Howell at 14:25 Was out on bike about four blocks away from view of the tracks when I heard D706 honking for Michigan Ave. When I got into view of the tracks, still three blocks away, started counting and got to 58 cars when I saw the DPU and then counted around 80 more before the end of the train. Even with 197 reported cars and counting 123, seems to me like there should have been more than 74 cars before I finally got into view of the train.
Re: CSX Train Location Updates: October, 2020.
I wondered what was going on. I was at the 55th St crossing north of New Richmond when I heard the 44.1 detector go off. About 30 min later, I still couldn’t hear a horn from 326, but I did hear one at East Saugatuck. Thought maybe D802 had stopped at East Saugatuck to drop the coal cars and then go back down the hill to push 326, but then those horns got further away. Not long after hearing those horns I finally started hearing 326 off in the distance.Tom49801 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 24, 2020 1:20 pmQ326-24 @ 1:14pm eastward was reported by the DD at mp CG44.2 with 272 axles & 3,671 feet long. I had been using my phone to control my camera via WiFi, so I wasn’t able to listen to the scanner for quite a while.

Re: CSX Train Location Updates: October, 2020.
Saw it pass South Lyon. Didn't count it, but with a reported 215 cars, it would be the longest train I have seen in person anywhere.
