CSX Train Location Updates - Oct. 2022

I see... L303-25 will have a pleasant surprise. How did/will L305 handle this?

I've seen L305 reverse into Howell many times before, they use the Ogihara runaround about a half mile west for that operation.
This I-96 overpass, the one near Latson Rd. or the one more towards Ann Pere? I wonder if L305 or L303 will end up moving the grainer out of the way, accounting for the problematic power. L305 helped push an eastbound grain train to Brighton a few winters back iirc.

I would assume the I-96 pass between Ann Pere and Latson, as I doubt CSX would leave an entire train blocking a siding AND diamond

L305-25 departed Howell for Lansing at 17:45. L305 evidently dragged the stalled grain train back to Howell and had to cut Lucy Rd. Sounds like the crew off of L303, whatever they did with their train, is now here along with the T.O. who has been assisting this grain train all day. It has been nearly 12 hours since this train first went east this morning and they are still here. Still not sure what they are going to do with it. GLC in town too with 399+390+382 for power and wanted to set cars off in the Howell pass, which won't be happening for awhile.

Finally got 2+2 to equal 4 on the grain train saga at Howell today. G789 had two recrews today known as U303. After L305 dragged the grain load back to Howell on the main, L303-25 when it got to Howell, pulled into the siding, cut off from his train, crossed Ann Pere diamond and back west on the main to tie onto the grain load with its power. Now with four units and two crews on the head end, plan is to get this train to Brighton on the main. L303-25 will cut off , run back west thru the siding to Howell to it's own train. U303 will then take the grain load south of Plymouth as this crew is qualified. This is as of now but the way things have been going with this grain load, don't count on it until it gets to Joy Road.

His job briefing had stated 121 cars (38 loads + 83 empties) @ 7,451 tons & 7,141 feet long. Looks like 1 extra car is in the consist, or, a +4 axle count error.

M327-26 @ 07:05 was advised he has an extra empty car in his consist.

Amtrak P371-26 @ 07:06 is stopped at mp CG35.7 to inspect their train after hitting a downed tree. Impact had caused their engine to shut down.

Amtrak P371-26 @ 07:26 is ok to proceed westward.
