I'm thinkin' the 184 will be leading 365 in the morning ( I didn't verify the exact number, but it looked like it from the mirror on my leader, which was the 29 ) Get those cameras out and shoot it..........

Saw this too late...hope it comes back and they don't swap it for 37 (which had been the rear unit on the consist attached to 29 lately).
Edit: Apparently these seven car sets that 364 and 365 are using are being shared with the Saluki and Illini. This consist with 184 and 29 is going through to Carbondale, IL, so it will be back as 364 on Tuesday night. :)
On another note, tonight's train will have 128 and 517 again. Kudos to Amtrak's powerdesk for giving me all these cool engines 8)

350 is estimated to arrive in ARB around 6:45pm, it turns and becomes 355. Which is now being estimated to arrive in ARB around 9pm. (My sister is due out on 355, so I just got off the phone with an Amtrak Agent)
352 is currently 2hrs late getting into ARB.

Saw southbound Amtrak No. 55, the Vermonter, coming into New Haven, CT from Springfield, about 10 minutes late this afternoon. They had patchy P42 #61 leading an Amfleet Cafe and 5 Amfleet I coaches, with clean P42 #9 on the rear. Normally they run with only 4 coaches so its great to see an extra coach to help meet the increasing demand.

Amtrak released its June ridership figures (best June on record for the company). Wolverine ridership is down slightly - as expected - but the Blue Water and Pere Marquette are both up. All three lines are up a fair amount for the fiscal year though :D

Wolverine ridership is down slightly - as expected - but the Blue Water and Pere Marquette are both up. All three lines are up a fair amount for the fiscal year though
-4.2%
+15%
+5.4%
All respective to the order Nathan listed the services.
Wolverine is up 12.1% overall for FY2011, Blue Water 24.5% (Hence the seven car standard consist now) and the Pere Marquette 5.9%.
In fact, the only losers on the entire system for the fiscal year are the Empire Builder (flooding issues) and Coast Starlight, and those are miniscule losses at that.
So yes, lots of very positive numbers. It's all but certain that the 30 Million rider mark is going to be broken by October 1.
And I'm proud to say I've contributed to both the Blue Water and Pere Marquette as well as six long distance trains and three state corridors since the beginning of the year...Great times to Enjoy the Journey! ;)

364 had the 128 leading with the 517 on the rear again tonight. Word must be getting out; I saw more people out taking photos of the 517 tues morn than I have seen in a long time (including that Sgt. Rock guy down in BTL who was looking kinda official something with his reflective vest on  ). Better get your photos of the 'foreign' engines. scuttlebuttt is that the ITCS will be turned back on next week...

Oh, if you were wondering...that was me by the coal tower in Lansing. The engine wasn't my target today though, I was just up early and thought I'd come out and try that shot :)
On another note, train 393 that 184 came into Chicago on, that HAS been going to be 364, was sent to 14th st. yard instead. This was the first time in a while that the consist for 365 had turned directly back as 364.
It's unknown where 184 will go next, but the seven car train could end up as 352 or 354 next, so keep an eye out.
Of the other heritage units, 156 (Phase I) is on train 4 that will be arriving in Chicago tomorrow. 66 (Phase II) is working a Hiawatha set and 145 (Phase III) was reported in Washington, D.C. this morning after pulling train 98 in from Miami. With three units in or heading to Chicago, and one now poised to come there, the chances are good that one may slip back into the mitten...keep your eyes peeled.
