In the past Falmouth Coop received a few carloads of fertilizer. Unfortunately I wasn't able to attend this years AARRT&HA meeting and ask Chris if FC was getting a little rail service again or if it was someone else. Maybe KC would know.

Okay, looking at the street address, it is indeed Falmouth Co-op right at the blinker light in McBain. They are 100% using rail now, as they were unloading two hoppers with a conveyer (portable, with wheels) toward the end of their siding. 2 hoppers, uncoupled and about half a car length apart from each other. Yellow product (fairly bright yellow).

395 and 396 to McBain at 0920 with 1 Tie and 2 pole loads. Returned at 1020.

Might want to keep your ears open up north.

I like your detailed reports :) .

How do you know the wood chip hopper was loaded? Reason I ask is the feed place in Cadillac gets what looks like wood chip hoppers but they're carrying cotton seed.

I had an elevated view as it passed. It appeared to be wood chips, though it may have been anything.

GLC south through Mount Pleasant at 1:35. I was too far away to get numbers, or an accurate car count.
