L301-04 @ 10:16 Grand Rapids, Mi mark up with the RN Dispatcher: CSX engines #4057 + #2428 & 18 cars (13 loads + 5 empties) @ 1,936 tons & 1,183 feet long. He’ll head westward for work at Buzzi Cement mp CG5.2 & then he’ll go into Waverly mp CG22.8 & later westward to Hartford mp CG68.7 & will runaround his train at Kirk mp CG70.2 to head back east.

Unknown Grain Train ID seen heading north in Monroe, Mi with CSX engines 3244 + 3397 + mid CSX engines 4572 + 3421 and 180(?) empty CSX marked grain cars.

I am thinking this combo grain train will be split apart. Perhaps the more experienced members know what this train is bound for.

22:18 - G089-29 east thru Brighton with 88 cars behind 3088 and 734. Green Oak reports 365 axles. Though making good progress up the hill at Ann Pere, a crossing malfunction at Latson Rd. CH ~51. caused the engineer to back off the throttle right at the summit. When I had arrived, all but the southbound traffic gate was stuck on. The gate began to lower in due time and the engineer poured on the coal. It took their 5,218' train exactly 1 minute and 30 seconds to pass Main St. CH 45.12.

R598-03 @ 15:23 copied their EC1 to depart the power plant in West Olive, Mi mp CGP 1.0 & diverge onto the Fremont sub-div & head south to the Grand Rapids sub-div in Holland, Mi with BNSF engine #8494 & 130 empty coal cars & rear dpu BNSF engine #9061 & CSX engines #7381 + #858. He’ll probably take Grand Jct siding mp CG54 & will tie down.
