L302-03 @ 22:00 westward reported by the Defect Detector mp CH126.3 Clarksville, Mi with 172 axles. CSX engines #5500 (Spirit of Cincinnati) + #5444 & 40 cars. He had work in Lansing – final destination is Grand Rapids, Mi.

Green Oak DD at CH39.1 said “Axle count malfunction! Total axle count 723 axles.”

2 engines and 177 cars with +3 axle error? Or 2 engines and 178 cars with a -1 axle error. From L303-03’s job briefing earlier, he stated “couple of set offs and 30 cars to pick up”. I’m thinking 178 cars is the correct count

177 cars after Lansing. Set off 2, picked up 31 in Lansing.

L302-3 cleared Seymour a few minutes ago, as it crossed Kalamazoo Ave and others along that stretch (Burton, Elliott, Eastern, ect) that horn was howling. You can usually hear them from my house (down Kalamazoo and 44th) but wow it was really clear! I bet they are enjoying the fireworks on their way in, been non stop!

He’ll head westward for work at Buzzi Cement mp CG5.2 & then he’ll go into Waverly mp CG22.8 & later westward for work at Hartford mp CG68.7 only & will runaround his train at Kirk siding mp CG70.2 to head back east.

Axle math supports 2 engines, the #5203 was set off in Lansing for G076-02 to be added to the grain train in Grand Ledge that presently has 1 engine.
