D905-27 @ 9:56pm westward reported from the west end of Fox mp CH143.3 with CSX engines #3329 + #595 & CSX #751 as either a rear or mid DPU & 169 total cars (this is D705-27 re-crewed).

CSXT derailment in Dearborn, MI on Oct 28, 2020. There is an empty well car that partally came off the I-94 overpass and hit the South (RR East) abutment wall. Loaded slab cars are on adjacent track. Eather the slab cars on Q509 derailed and pushed the well car off or an Eastboud train derailed and car came off at I-94.
I-94 is open, ramp from E.B. I-94 to Michigan closed. At least the E.B. lanes of I-94 will have to be closed to re-rail car.

There’s a CSX rule on the number of empties in the middle of a consist before a cut of fulls. That string of cars had fulls-30 empties- 28 fulls and CSX policy dictates that they can’t have more than five fulls after a string of empties to prevent stringlining.

Very interesting. With plenty of time on their hands yesterday, you would have thought they would have pulled those first 54 cars out of the siding, and back down the main and then went back and got the rear 24 cars, (most loaded) and put them on the head end to take them all. This would at least allowed GLC to bring more cars in. Was hoping a CSX pilot would meet GLC at Ann Pere overnight and usher them to Brighton to get the 71 cars parked there for them. The only thing all night locally heard was a G09727 crew spotting the grain empty into Webberville that I had thought was already spotted but evidently not. Had it in the plant by 23:30.

Appears D70628 is trying to get east out of Grand Rapids clearing Seymour at 11:40am, lined up to Fox. Y106 might be in the siding at Elmdale and are currently lined to go back towards Alto, but maybe they'll change their minds and let D706 get by.
11:56am edit - looks like whatever is out at elmdale went back into the siding, and D706 is cleared east to Lake Odessa.

He has CSX #751 leading & the other 2 engines are probably also from yesterday's D705/D905 the CSX #595 + #3329 (don't know their order). They had instructed their cab to meet tham at Lansing.

D706-28 @ 12:31pm eastward reported by the DD mp CH126.3 with 590 axles & 8,290 feet long. CSX engines #751 + #595 + #3329 & 143 cars (engines are on the head end - don't know the order for the 2nd & 3rd engines).

Q326-28 @ 12:47pm eastward w/e Hudsonville mp CG14 with CSX engines #4029 + #487 & 78 cars (no work at Waverly/Holland).

13:00 D702 westbound at Zeeland with 73 cars behind CSXT 2742 and 6394. Including 8 just picked up from Buzzi, and a cut of over 20 of the covered gons heading for Muskegon. Balance was covered hoppers, tanks, Three coil cars, scrap gons and a couple boxcars.
