Y197 just picked this car up from the north side of the old engine house at Wyoming yard. I saw a similar covered car in Q327 this morning.

They are cottonseed cars. I know that GLC has a customer in Cadillac that receives them.

Cotton seed for Wyoming Warehouse in the old Hager Lumber site. Those cars have a big door that opens on one end that they drive a front end loader inside of to unload the cotton. The car has to be facing the right direction so they can open it inside of their building. That’s probably why it was turned on the wye.

Who is KemKrest in Fowlerville? Heard D708 say they were changing a sign when in the area last week. 708 did not stop in Fowlerville today, coming direct to Howell from ADM in Webberville with 37 cars for GLC which they put into the Howell pass before tying on to LTEX 310 and picking up 12 tanks from GLC in the transfer. Departed for Lansing at 17:30 after having LTEX 310 sit here for nearly five days.

KemKrest is the first industry west of Fowlerville, just east of Rytec.
